These Aussie Engineers helped build the 100 km ‘Bulldog Road’ across New Guinea to Wau. The road was a critical supply line for our troops fighting the advancing Japanese. Tough conditions and dangerous work forged a lifelong spirit of mateship in this unit of 250 men.
